The Viejas casino has been around for years and has gotten better each year, adding table games, great places to eat, entertainment and outlet shopping. Now, they have added a 5 star resort hotel. We stayed there the week after it opened and loved it. If you are an Indian gaming fan but don’t like to drive home late, think about staying overnight here instead.
We ate at the casino’s Grove Steakhouse and got first class food, drink and service. There is nothing else like it in east county San Diego. In the casino it looks like Las Vegas. Gone are the days of Indian bingo tents. The 99 luxury hotel rooms are high-end, and another 29 VIP suites will satisfy any high roller. The pool includes places to relax half in the water, half on pool lounges. Great for hot summer days.
If you haven’t been out to Viejas for a while, it is time you made a visit.
