For only $5, guests ages 3 years and up will gain admission to the Maritime Museum, tour the tall ships, be treated to live entertainment at the Festival of Sail main stage, sample food and drink, enjoy a family activity area and petting zoo, and shop for one-of-a-kind items among more than 150 festival vendors.

Activities scheduled to take place throughout the weekend include a parade of sail, Napoleonic cannon firings, a kids zone, access to the San Salvador village and build site, a variety of singing and music with performances by Eve Selis among others, dance troops, traditional sea chanteys and Khmer Chayam dancers will help celebrate the international theme of the festival.

Guests can experience a cannon battle at sea and witness naval warfare from the age of sail. Several ships will engage in cannon battle reenactments on San Diego Bay during the festival. An additional purchased ticket is required for this activity only.

The festival officially kicks off with a majestic parade of tall ships on Thursday, Aug. 29 starting at 11:00 a.m. Ships should be docked by 2:00 p.m. at the Maritime Museum after the completion of the parade.

All ships will be open for viewing starting at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 30.
